Garry Squires

Chair Of The Editorial Advisory Board at nasen

Garry Squires is a Professor at The University of Manchester, specializing in Educational Psychology, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Inclusion since September 2005. Squires also serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning and the Director of the Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology, in addition to leading the ESRC Education Policy and Research Pathway for the North West Doctoral College. Concurrently, Squires holds the position of Honorary PGR Supervisor at the University of Liverpool, works as an Educational Psychologist and Associate Director at psyCATS, and serves as Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board for Nasen. Previously, Squires held roles such as Chair of the BPS NAC for Europsy and Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Past experience includes serving as a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist for Staffordshire County Council and as a science teacher at Wirral Borough Council. Squires’ academic qualifications include DEdPsy and MSc in Educational Psychology from The University of Manchester, along with a BSc in Psychology from The Open University and a BEd (Hons) from Edge Hill University.
