Melanie Storey

Storey is an advocate for financial aid administrators and their tireless commitment to enabling access to postsecondary education. Storey held policy and leadership roles across NAICU (Policy Analyst, 1995–2001), the American Council on Education (Director, National Initiatives, 2001–2013), The College Board (Senior Director, Higher Education & Student Aid Policy, 2013–2020), and Federal Student Aid (Deputy Director, Policy Implementation and Oversight, 2020–2022). Storey is currently President and CEO of NASFAA. Storey is pursuing an MPAff at The University of Texas at Austin and an M.P.Aff in Education Policy at The LBJ School of Public Affairs, and has ongoing studies at Smith College.
