1. TRAINING PH.D.

Around 20 interns from Groningen, the Netherlands are being trained through NASKHO each year. The education they receive has a positive influence on the local medical professionals as the interns are a link between these professionals and the rest of the medical world. The clinical education in health care performance leads to an upgrading of the knowledge and the working level of all medical professionals.


2. MEDICAL COURSES

As part of the second objective NASKHO organizes an annual minimum of 11 postgraduate courses, and aims to impart knowledge and skills to local paramedics, doctors and specialists. The NASKHO postgraduate courses have grown into a consistent and continuous training program and enjoy great interest. The courses are usually accredited by professional associations (the Netherlands).

Besides the traditional postgraduate courses the NASKHO provides organizational, logistical and / or financial support to other training courses in the medical field, sometimes in collaboration with international (professional) organizations.

3. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

As part of its third objective NASKHO actively promotes scientific research in the medical field.The results broaden the knowledge of local health issues and, as a direct result, contributes to the quality of care to patients.

External evaluation has proven that, through scientific research supported by the NASKHO, interesting results have been achieved with a relevant impact on health care.
