Donté Smith is an experienced human services specialist currently working with the Kansas Department of Children and Family Services since May 2024. As a sexuality educator for Sex Discussed Here! since March 2022, Donté delivers sexual and relationship health education to university students across the country. In the role of technical assistant consultant with NASTAD since September 2022, Donté provides coaching and technical assistance aimed at improving viral Hepatitis services among marginalized populations. Previously, Donté held various positions including tenant-based rental assistance supervisor at Save Inc., leading housing support for individuals living with HIV, and lead patient educator for infectious disease at Legacy Community Health, where expertise was applied in HIV and HCV treatment navigation. Additional experience includes a fellowship with the Human Rights Campaign and curatorial work for several community-based music festivals. Donté holds a Bachelor of Arts in Culture & Politics and Women & Gender Studies from Georgetown University.
