Larisa Bruner

Larisa Bruner, PhD, MPH, MPA, is a health equity researcher and leader with over 15 years of experience in developing and implementing public health programs aimed at promoting equitable healthcare access. They have managed multimillion-dollar federal, state, and university projects, focusing on areas such as maternal health, community wellness, and health disparities. Currently, Larisa serves as the Section Director of Surveillance Assessment and Evaluation at the S.C. Department of Public Health, where they oversee program management and policy improvement initiatives. Additionally, they hold multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Services Policy and Management from the University of South Carolina-Columbia.
