Robert Young

Regional Official at NASUWT

Robert Young is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advocacy, education, and emergency services. Currently serving as a Regional Official for NASUWT since April 2010, Robert engages in representational casework, advocacy, and provides support to lay officials, while also working as a Community First Responder with Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust since March 2019, responding to critical emergency calls. Robert's earlier roles include Head of Physics at Our Lady's RC High School and Physics Teacher at All Saints RC High School, alongside a position as Wartime Scientific Adviser with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. Academic achievements include an MEd from the University of Leeds, diplomas in Management Science and Strategic Management from The University of Huddersfield and the Chartered Management Institute, respectively, as well as a PGCE in Physics from King’s College London and a BSc in Applied Sciences from Sheffield Hallam University.
