Shachar Raanan

Operational Stress Management - Resiliency for First Responders - NATAL

Shachar Raanan has a diverse background in social work, mental health, and community relations, beginning as a Park Ranger at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority from June 2011 to June 2015. Currently, Shachar serves as the District Coordinator of Groups, Volunteers, and Community Relations at the Israeli Ministry of Defense and as a Social Worker specializing in the biopsychosocial care of bereaved families of IDF and other armed forces since February 2023. Additionally, Shachar has been involved with NATAL since June 2021, facilitating resilience workshops for international first responders. Previous experience includes serving in a Special Operations Unit in the Israeli Air Force and working as a Mental Health Officer in the Israel Defense Forces. Shachar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Tel-Hai College and is pursuing further education in Group Facilitation. A Master's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management was obtained from Tel Aviv University in 2023.
