Michael Pearson

Michael Pearson, PhD, is a Senior Development Scientist at Natera, bringing 25 years of expertise in molecular and structural biology. They have extensive experience with various techniques, including NGS, nucleic acid extraction, and protein expression, cultivated through roles in several molecular diagnostics startups. Previously, they held positions as a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and as a Senior Research Scientist at Freenome, where they innovatively addressed complex biochemical challenges. Michael earned a PhD in Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating summa cum laude.
