Sriram Kumar

Sriram Kumar is a highly skilled scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Natera since September 2025. Prior to this role, Sriram held various positions at PacBio, including Senior Scientist, Scientist II, and Scientist, contributing significantly to advancements in synthetic nucleic acids and biophysics. Sriram's research at Carnegie Mellon University focused on synthetic nucleic acid nanostructures for biosensing applications and included notable achievements such as the development of modular self-assembling nanofibers and engineered DNA nanotubes. Sriram completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Biochemistry at Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Sriram also gained valuable experience through internships at Harvard Medical School and the Indian Institute of Science, contributing to innovative diagnostic tools and materials.
