John Garrity is an experienced professional with expertise in digital connectivity and economic policy. Currently serving as Chief of Party for the USAID/Philippines Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON) project, John oversees a USD 33 million initiative aimed at enhancing digital infrastructure, ICT policy, and cybersecurity skills. Prior to this role, John worked as an independent consultant focused on digital economy engagements, and served as Senior Connectivity Advisor at USAID, where responsibilities included broadband expansion and policy reform. With a history of impactful roles at Cisco Systems, the World Bank, and the Federal Trade Commission, John holds a M.S. in Applied Economics and a B.A. in Economics & International Studies from The Ohio State University.
