John Caughey has a diverse work experience in the elevator industry. John currently serves as the Assistant National Director at the National Elevator Industry Educational Program since March 2019. Before that, they worked at Otis Elevator Co. for several roles, including Regional Field Operations Manager for New England/NY from January 2011 to April 2019, Operations Manager from July 2007 to January 2011, and Service Manager from June 2006 to July 2007. Prior to their time at Otis Elevator Co., they were Chairman at the Mass Board of Elevator Regulations from October 2005 to March 2013.
John Caughey attended Boston Latin School from 1972 to 1978. John then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, completing their studies in 1983. Later, they obtained an MBA from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, specializing in Finance and Strategy, graduating in 2006.
