Catherine Izard, PhD, is a data scientist and modeler with a robust background in energy and financial modeling as well as policy analysis. They have held several roles, including Director of Data Analytics at Opinion Dynamics and Head of AI Value Office at National Grid. Catherine's career includes experience as an Expert Data Scientist at Pacific Gas & Electric, where they led teams in predictive analytics, and as a Senior Analyst at Community Choice Partners, focusing on energy modeling for retail electricity programs. They earned a BS in Geology & Geophysics from Yale University, an MSc in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a PhD in Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
