Michael Avery, P.E. has extensive experience in engineering and management across various roles and companies. Starting as a Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, Michael designed and analyzed structural radar hardware, developed detailed mechanical drawings, and facilitated component design reviews. At National Grid, Michael initially served as a Lead Gas Transmission Engineer, overseeing the integrity management program for natural gas pipelines, before advancing to Regional Manager of Gas Transmission Engineering, where leadership of a diverse engineering team and process improvement initiatives were key responsibilities. Additional roles included Engineering Manager of Gas Distribution Engineering and Director of New York AMI Meter and Field Deployment. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from D'Youville College.
