Dr. Murthy completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the University of Mysore in Karnataka, India, and obtained his Ph.D. in Neurochemistry from Bangalore University Karnataka, India in 1986. Following, Dr. Murthy completed two post-doctoral fellowships in the US; at the Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, New York, followed by the Children National Medical Center, George Washington University, Washington DC. In 1996, he received his Board Certification in Clinical Chemistry and in 2000 Dr. Murthy completed his Clinical Laboratory Fellowship focused on advanced training in Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Mass Spectrophotometry at the Department of Laboratory Medicine National Institutes of Health, USA. Dr. Murthy is a Diplomat of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and a Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Chemistry.
