Douglas Lerner has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries.

Starting in 2013, they worked as an Instructor at South East University until 2015. In the same year, they also served as a Chinese Translator at Nanjing University and an English Trainer at PAS Corporation.

In 2016, Douglas became an Instructor at China University of Geosciences, where they stayed until 2018.

In 2017, they ventured into self-employment as a Web Developer, specializing in mobile drum app development and afterschool English tutoring. During this time, they also attended a programming retreat at Recurse Center, dedicating three months to self-directed programming projects and gaining experience in various areas.

In 2019, Douglas worked as a Browser Extension Developer at Pennington Publishing and a Front-End Web Developer at Speakable PBC. Douglas also took on the role of Co-lead Front-End Developer at SuperDAO, where they implemented the front-end architecture for a unique Ethereum Dapp.

Currently, Douglas is a Software Engineer at NationBuilder, starting in June 2021.

Douglas Lerner has a diverse education history. In 2018, they attended the Recurse Center for a self-directed programming retreat, where they focused on improving their programming skills. Prior to that, in 2017, they completed the Javascript Algorithms And Data Structures Certification from freeCodeCamp, further enhancing their knowledge in this area. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Stony Brook University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Additionally, they obtained a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from Teaching House, New York, indicating their interest in teaching English as a second language.
