Grant Smith

Grant Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. In their most recent role as the Director of Support Services at Nation's, they are responsible for overseeing support services within the company. Prior to that, they worked as an Implementation Specialist at LEGO Education, where they played a key role in implementing various educational programs.

Before joining LEGO Education, Grant held the position of VP of Education at Code Ninjas, where they implemented successful methods that resulted in higher-than-expected student counts and program overhauls. Grant led a team of experts in creating new curricula and programs, demonstrating exceptional team leadership skills.

Grant also has experience as an author for Workman Publishing, where they wrote a book on computer science and coding. In addition, they have held roles such as Director of Education at codeSpark, Founder and President of Launch CS, Computer Science Teacher Trainer and Consultant at Emerald Data Solutions, Technology Coordinator at Avondale Elementary School District, Computer Programming Teacher at CO Greenfield School, and Science Teacher at Arizona Teaching Fellows.

Grant Smith has a Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Boise State University. Grant also completed Doctor of Education (EdD) coursework in Technology Integration in K-16 Education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education from 2016 to 2017, although they did not obtain the degree. Grant Smith has a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Additionally, they have certifications in Minecraft: Education Edition: Teacher Academy from Microsoft (obtained in 2022), Google Education Trainer from the Google Education Trainer program (obtained in 2015), and Certified Google Educator from Google (obtained in July 2014).
