Senior Formulation Scientist

Bing Yan, PhD, is a Principal Scientist with over 10 years of experience in food science and engineering, specializing in probiotics, dietary supplements, and beverage development. Bing completed a Bachelor’s degree in Food Quality and Safety at China Agricultural University and a PhD in Food Science at The Ohio State University, where they also worked as a Graduate Fellow. Presently, Bing conducts postdoctoral research at Cornell University focused on microencapsulation and bioactive compounds. Previously, Bing served as a Food Scientist at Nestlé, contributing to the development of coffee and plant protein beverages, and was recognized for their leadership in product development competitions. Additionally, Bing has been an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists, where they lead the division's newsletter efforts.
