David Kilcullen

David Kilcullen is a distinguished strategist and academic with extensive experience in military and security operations, including serving as an Adviser for the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and as a Senior Counterinsurgency Advisor for the Multi-National Force in Iraq. With a career spanning over three decades in the Australian Army, culminating in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Kilcullen has held significant positions in research, consulting, and executive leadership roles, including President and CEO of Caerus Associates, LLC, and Cordillera Applications Group. Kilcullen has also contributed to national security policy as a Special Adviser to the U.S. Secretary of State and has held various advisory roles for non-profit organizations. An accomplished educator, Kilcullen has taught at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and serves on several advisory boards, focusing on strategies for security and economic performance, particularly in relation to Africa and conflict regions. Kilcullen holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy from UNSW and a Master's in Management with High Distinction.
