Michaela Stith currently serves as the Youth Education Lead at Native Movement, where responsibilities include developing a training program for Alaska Native, rural, and BIPOC youth focused on political organizing and movement building. Previously, Michaela held multiple roles at Native Movement, including Climate Justice Director and Climate Justice Co-Director, managing programming and collaborations aimed at advancing climate justice for Indigenous communities. As an author, Michaela wrote "Welp: Climate Change and Arctic Identities," detailing experiences as a Black, mixed-race girl from Alaska. Additional roles span various positions related to Arctic governance and environmental advocacy, including Program Assistant at The Wilson Center and Indigenous Peoples' Secretariat Associate at the Arctic Council Secretariat. Michaela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science & Policy from Duke University and has participated in relevant educational programs focusing on climate change and the Arctic.
