Danielle Forward

CEO & Co-Founder at Natives Rising

Danielle Forward has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Danielle is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Natives Rising, an organization focused on empowering Indigenous communities in the tech industry. Prior to this, they held various roles at Facebook, including Product Designer in Social Impact, Connectivity, Commerce Payments, and Special Countries. Danielle also worked as a Customer Development Specialist at Outschool. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Product Design Intern at Facebook and Crunchyroll, Inc., and as a Graphic Designer in freelance and Graphic Design Services. Danielle started their career as a Web Production Intern at VIZ Media.

Danielle Forward has a Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design from the California College of the Arts. Danielle attended the college from 2014 to 2017 and graduated with high distinction, earning the title of Valedictorian. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, Danielle attended The Art Institutes and studied Graphic Design. Danielle also has an Associate's Degree in Behavioral & Social Sciences, Global Studies from Santa Rosa Junior College, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Danielle has obtained a certification in Aboriginal Worldviews and Education from the University of Toronto in December 2020.
