Stephen Winborn

Stephen Winborn has over 30 years of work experience in the insurance industry and legal field. Stephen currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Claims and Risk Management at National Interstate Insurance Company since May 2017. Prior to this, they served as Vice President at the same company from October 2015 to May 2017.

Before joining National Interstate Insurance Company, Stephen worked at Vanliner Insurance Company from 2010 to 2015. Stephen held various roles including Vice President of Operations from August 2012 to October 2015, and AVP & Director of Claims from July 2010 to September 2012.

From 1997 to 2010, Stephen worked at UniGroup, Inc, where they served as Senior Director of Tort Litigation. Stephen had a range of responsibilities including defense and resolution of complex legal cases for United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit, and UniGroup.

Stephen's career began in 1991 at Evans & Dixon, where they worked as an Attorney specializing in civil litigation defense. Their practice areas included insurance, personal injury, professional malpractice, premises and product liability. Stephen was actively involved in all aspects of litigation practice, including motion practice, discovery, ADR, trials, and appeals.

Stephen Winborn attended Chaminade College Preparatory from 1976 to 1983, where they completed their high school education. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 1988. Subsequently, Stephen went on to obtain a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completing their studies in 1991.
