Daniel Persson

Daniel Persson currently serves as the Chief of Staff at NATO since July 2023. Previously, Daniel held the position of Senior AFOSI LNO at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) from June 2022 to June 2023, and directed operations at the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) from December 2020 to July 2022, providing oversight and strategic guidance across multiple groups and agencies. Daniel's extensive experience at AFOSI includes roles as Senior Representative to the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Associate Director of Cyber Operations Division, addressing cyber threats through operations and partnerships. A retired Special Agent with numerous leadership roles, Daniel's background also includes positions at the U.S. Department of Energy and various cybersecurity and investigative roles at ManTech Cyber and Athena Innovative Solutions. Daniel's educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School and a Bachelor's in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, among other advanced military and business degrees.
