Frank E. Schneider

NATO Chair of the RTG "Capability Concept Demonstrator for Interoperability within Unmanned Ground“

Frank E. Schneider is the Deputy Head of Cognitive Mobile Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics, specializing in unmanned systems for defense and security applications. With a background in computer science, Schneider has contributed to various robotics competitions and founded significant initiatives like the European Robotics group and the European Land Robot Trials (ELROB). Currently, as a leader in the field, Schneider oversees programs related to CBRNE, RSTA, and EOD/IED for the German Federal Armed Forces. They also serve as a national expert for the International Electrotechnical Commission and the European Commission, emphasizing the advancement of unmanned systems in radiological and nuclear contexts.
