Tom Goffus

Tom Goffus is currently serving as the NATO Assistant Secretary General Operations, exhibiting a strong background in international relations and defense policy. With extensive experience across various high-profile roles, including Policy Director for the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Tom has effectively led diverse teams and influenced decision-making in complex interagency environments. Educated at the United States Air Force Academy and the University of Washington, Tom holds degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Previously, they commanded the 558th Flying Training Squadron and held numerous senior positions within the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Security Staff, and the Department of State.
