Umut I. is a seasoned Cyber Security professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Cyber Security Officer at NATO since September 2021, Umut previously held positions including Manager of Security Architecture at Ahold Delhaize and Expert Lead at ING Belgium's Cyber Defense Center. Key accomplishments include developing missions and strategies for cyber defense, leading teams of experts in incident response and threat intelligence, and enhancing IT security solutions. With a background that includes roles in IT security architecture and information risk management, Umut has a solid foundation in technical consulting and security project management. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics from Istanbul Technical University and additional language courses from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
