Patrick L. has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Patrick began their career as a Portfolio Officer at the Bank of Montreal, where they provided compliance services for commercial portfolios. Patrick then worked as a Financial Analyst at Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, responsible for management reporting and financial planning and analysis. Patrick also served as an Analyst in Corporate Finance at Seaspan Ship Management, where they supported the company's container liner chartering operations. Patrick later worked as a Financial Planner & Analyst at Mustang Survival, contributing to the design and manufacturing of lifesaving solutions. Patrick then transitioned to the public sector, taking on roles as a Financial Analyst at the City of New Westminster and the City of Richmond. Patrick L. has a diverse education history that spans both undergraduate and executive education. Patrick obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a major in Accounting from Simon Fraser University, completing their studies in 2006. In 2011, they attended Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne for a period of one year.

In 2019, Patrick pursued executive education at Harvard Business School, completing the Harvard Business Analytics Program. Their time at Harvard concluded in 2020.

Aside from their formal education, Patrick has also obtained a range of certifications. In 2008, they obtained the Canadian Securities Certification (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute. Patrick went on to earn the Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation from CGA-Canada in 2011. In 2015, Patrick became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).

Additionally, Patrick has obtained several certifications in the field of financial planning and analysis. Patrick earned the Certified In Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation from ASCM - British Columbia Chapter in December 2021. In February 2022, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) through the CFA Institute. Patrick also obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in August 2022. Most recently, Patrick obtained the Certified Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional (FP&A) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in March 2023.
