Evan Bardot is a seasoned editor and researcher with extensive experience in biology and biomedical sciences. Currently serving as a Senior Editor at Nature Portfolio since June 2021, Evan previously held the position of Associate Editor. Prior to that, Evan was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from September 2019 to June 2021. Evan's academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where research focused on embryonic heart development under Dr. Nicole Dubois. Additional research experiences include developing cardiac tissue engineering models at Icahn School of Medicine, studying epigenetic regulators in skin stem cells with Dr. Elena Ezhkova, and investigating gene regulatory networks in sea urchin embryos at Boston University. Evan also contributed to breast cancer research as a volunteer assistant at Columbia University.
