Soon Kim

Soon Kim is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic partnerships, sales, and training within the academic publishing and information science sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Strategic Partnership Manager at Nature Portfolio since February 2019, Soon has been recognized as the Salesperson of the Year for 2025 and received the SDG Innovation award in 2023. Previous roles include Training Consultant at Cactus Communications, where workshops on research writing and evidence-based medicine were led, and Associate Director at Elsevier, where a direct e-sales team was built and a medical database was launched in Korea. Soon's early career included positions at Elsevier that encompassed account management and marketing, where notable achievements included exceeding sales targets and fostering strong client relationships. Soon holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Ewha Womans University, an MS in Marketing from the University of Denver, and a BS in Library and Information Science from Ewha Womans University.
