Dave Ireland

Dave Ireland is a dedicated professional in nature conservation with extensive experience in program and project management, public engagement, and storytelling. They held leadership roles, including Managing Director at the Royal Ontario Museum from 2011 to 2018 and Curator of Conservation and Environment at the Toronto Zoo from 2006 to 2011. Currently, Dave serves as Program Director at the Nature Conservancy of Canada, beginning in 2024, and has been involved in various conservation projects with organizations such as Parks Canada and the Conservation Council of New Brunswick. Dave's passion lies in making environmental science and policy more accessible through effective communication. They hold a degree from Mount Allison University, earned between 1994 and 1998.
