Martin Abell has significant experience in leadership and community service, having served as a Board Member and Past Ontario Regional Chair for The Nature Conservancy of Canada since 2003, where Martin facilitated communication between volunteers and the National Board. Martin previously held the position of Team Leader at Out of the Cold from 2001 to April 2012, focusing on providing support to the homeless in Toronto. In addition, Martin was a candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario in the October 2011 election for Toronto Centre, advocating for fiscal responsibility. Martin's earlier career includes serving as Managing Director at Ridpath's Fine Furniture from 2000 to 2005, overseeing operations during a period of growth. Academically, Martin holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from The University of British Columbia, complemented by a foundational education at Upper Canada College.
