Matthew Braun

Matthew Braun has extensive experience in conservation and natural resource management, currently serving as the Conservation Science and Natural Areas Manager at the Nature Conservancy of Canada since September 2014, where responsibilities include developing management plans in collaboration with the conservation community. Prior to this role, Matthew worked for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations as a Range Practices Specialist from February 2006 to September 2014, focusing on improving rangeland management and training staff in ecosystem impact monitoring. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Range Science and Management from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a minor in Environmental Science from the same institution. Early career experiences include research assistant roles at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Manitoba.
