Richard Simpson currently serves as the Program Director for Central Ontario - West at the Nature Conservancy of Canada since September 2021. Prior experience includes roles as an Instructor at the University of Windsor, where Richard developed and taught an innovative online course in Invertebrate Biology during the pandemic, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow engaged in avian ecology research, with multiple publications in scientific journals. Previous positions also include a Graduate Researcher at Arizona State University, where Richard focused on bird ecology, and a USAID Global Development Research Scholar, conducting research on hummingbird diversity in Peru. Richard's distinguished educational background includes a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from Arizona State University and a B.S. with Honors in Biology from Trinity University.
