Amit Vas

Amit Vas has a strong background in biotechnology and research. Amit is currently working as the Director of Strain Build and Design at Nature's Fynd since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at LifeMine Therapeutics from March 2021 to November 2022, where they held the positions of Director of Bioprocessing and Principal Scientist. Before that, they worked at Joyn Bio as a Senior Scientist from December 2018 to March 2021. Amit also has extensive experience at Cargill, where they held various roles including Senior Lead Biotechnologist from January 2016 to December 2018, Senior Biotechnologist from April 2012 to January 2016, and Research Scientist from July 2011 to April 2012. Amit has also worked as a Research Scientist at Volt Technical Resources on contract with Cargill from March 2010 to July 2011. Amit's early career includes research positions at the University of Minnesota, where they worked as a Research Associate from September 2006 to March 2010, a Co-Instructor from June 2009 to December 2009, and a Post-Doctoral Associate from September 2003 to August 2006. Amit also worked as a Post-Doctoral Associate at Stony Brook University from October 2002 to August 2003. Amit's work experience demonstrates their expertise in strain development, bioprocessing, research, and academia.

Amit Vas completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science and Biotechnology at St. Xavier's College from 1994 to 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Genetics at Stony Brook University from 1997 to 2002.
