Emily Strong is currently a PhD student at the University of Exeter's Environment and Sustainability Institute, focusing on the environmental impacts of lead ammunition in the UK. Previously, they worked as a researcher in ecosystem health at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, managing projects related to avian influenza surveillance and lead poisoning. Emily has also held roles as a veterinary assistant and research assistant in various institutions, gaining experience in both field and lab-based research. They earned a First Class BSc in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity with Distinction from the University of Exeter.
