Jason Ormiston

Jason Ormiston is NatureScot's Head of External Affairs, where they lead strategic Public Relations, advising the Chair, Board, and Senior Leadership Team. With extensive experience in communications, they previously held various roles from 2003 to 2019 in the UK offshore and onshore wind energy sectors, including senior positions at Vattenfall. Jason served as Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, advocating for renewable energy, and began their career in journalism focused on energy reporting. They hold a Pg Dip in Journalism Studies from the University of Strathclyde and a Master of Science in African Studies from The University of Edinburgh.
