Lori Scott

Lori Scott has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Lori began their career at Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems, where they held roles as a Systems Engineer and Senior Systems Engineer. During this time, Lori demonstrated their expertise in GIS program management, customer coordination, and user training.

In 2000, they joined NatureServe as a Project Manager and later took on the role of Web Services Program Manager. In these positions, Lori managed projects related to designing and implementing a Web Services infrastructure for biodiversity data access. Lori successfully secured grants and managed a budget of approximately $2 million.

In 2006, Lori became the Project Director at NatureServe, leading a $1.3 million National Science Foundation grant. Lori also directed the LandScope America initiative, collaborating with various organizations to launch a successful website.

Since 2010, Lori has served as Chief Information Officer at NatureServe, where they provide leadership for the Technology & Partnerships Department. Lori'sresponsibilities include setting IT strategy, overseeing software development, user support, and IT infrastructure, as well as delivering and maintaining information systems for field data collection and management.

Lori also took on the role of Interim CEO at NatureServe from December 2017 to August 2018.
