James Close

James Close is the Head of Climate Change at NatWest Group, where they focus on facilitating the transition to a net-zero economy through climate-smart finance. With over a decade dedicated to addressing climate change, they have worked in both public and private sectors, advising on policy and strategy related to sustainability, energy, and infrastructure. Previously, James served as the Director of the Climate Change Group at the World Bank and held leadership roles in various organizations, including the Public Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility and the London Waste and Recycling Board. James is also a board member of the Trust for Sustainable Living and actively engages in transforming global climate strategies through collaboration and innovation. They hold a degree in Chemistry from Durham University.
