Nava Foundation is a UK registered charity (no. 1204831) supporting children and families in rural Uganda. Our mission is simple but powerful: to help Ugandan families stay together and thrive, so every child grows up feeling safe within their family and has access to a good education, keeping children out of orphanages and in loving homes.

Founded by sisters Carmella and Raquel Sternberg in honour of their Jajja (grandmother), who devoted her life to feeding and caring for the children of her village, Nava carries her spirit of service forward.

What we do:
🏫 Build and run schools in rural villages — in June 2026 we launched The Tin School Nursery in Kimwani Village, Mabira Forest, with a primary school planned for 2027
👨‍👩‍👧 Support families with essential needs — over 100 families supported so far
💼 Help single parents become self-sufficient by starting their own small businesses

Because we work directly with families in the villages, your donation goes exactly where it's needed. Just £175 a year sends a child to school, and £50 more covers their uniform and books.
