Prior to that, they served as Associate Director, Media Relations & Strategic Messaging at Arizona State University from 2019 to 2022, Senior Strategic Communications Specialist at Rio Tinto from 2017 to 2019, Technical Projects Manager, Multimedia & Corporate Communications at Freeport-McMoRan from 2016 to 2017, TV News Executive Producer at Evening Post Industries from 2013 to 2016, TV News Producer at Raycom Media from 2011 to 2013, and News Writer & Video Editor at Tribune Broadcasting from 2007 to 2011.

Jonathan W. is currently enrolled in the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona - College of Humanities. Additionally, they hold a UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems Commercial Remote Pilot Certification) from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in March 2017, as well as CPR & First Aid certification.
