Jeffrey Thaler

Jeffrey Thaler is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and commercial law within the fintech industry. Currently serving as Head of Legal for Navan Expense since November 2021, Jeffrey is a key member of the Executive Team and the Risk Management Governance Committee, advising on a range of regulatory matters. Prior to this role, Jeffrey held positions such as Sr. Product Counsel at Marqeta, Inc. and Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Counsel at eQuire/Epoch, where notable contributions included structuring commercial agreements and providing legal guidance during Marqeta's IPO. Earlier legal experience includes being an Associate Attorney at Rintala, Smoot, Jaenicke & Rees and serving as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Jeffrey holds a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School.
