Cathy Kennedy

Cathy Kennedy is currently the Director of Operational Finance at NHS Improvement and NHS England, having held this position since 2019. With extensive experience in finance leadership roles within the NHS, they previously served as Deputy Chief Executive/Chief Financial Officer at North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group and held various director-level positions, including at Weston Park Hospital NHS Trust. Cathy’s career in finance began in 1985 with memberships in professional organizations, and they continue to be actively involved as the Yorkshire Branch President of HFMA. They hold multiple degrees from The University of Sheffield and Leeds Beckett University, including a Bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and professional chartered qualifications in accounting.
