Larry McGuffee

Larry McGuffee has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Larry is currently working as the Information Security Architect Lead at Navitaire, an Amadeus company since September 2022. Before this, Larry owned their own consulting firm, ASPX Consulting, where they held the roles of Owner, Application Development Manager, and Senior Software Architect since March 2003.

Larry also worked at HealthEquity as a Senior Security Engineer from August 2021 to August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Security Engineer at the same company from February 2013 to August 2021. At HealthEquity, Larry was involved in developing applications that manage healthcare savings accounts for employers and partners in the healthcare industry, while also focusing on improving cost and schedule predictions and implementing current technologies for product delivery.

Larry's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Software Architect/Application Development Manager at Utah Retirement Systems from May 2009 to April 2010 and at Rio Tinto from May 2004 to February 2009. Larry has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Technology from December 2003 to May 2004, a Project Manager/Team Lead at Verizon Wireless Inc. from August 2003 to December 2003, and a Software Engineer at United Health Care Inc. from August 2002 to August 2003.

Larry began their career as a Developer at MedQuest Pharmacy from March 2000 to August 2002 and started their professional journey as an Application Developer at Benefits Management Inc. from March 1998 to May 2000. Throughout their career, Larry has focused on providing strategic expertise, managing stakeholders, improving cost and schedule predictions, and implementing current technologies for software projects.

Larry McGuffee obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Almeda, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Certified Career Institute from 1999 to 2001 and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Science. In 2018, Larry obtained the CISSP certification from ISC2.
