Dan Spillane is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in sports law and governance. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for League Governance and Policy at the National Basketball Association since January 2007, Dan previously held the position of Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP from November 2000 to December 2006. Dan began a legal career as a Law Clerk for Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum in the U.S. District Court from October 1999 to October 2000. Dan holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School (1999) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science, and Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley (1996), along with a high school diploma from Bellarmine College Preparatory (1991).
