Jake Smart

Jake Smart has extensive experience in the legal and sports sectors, currently serving as Associate Vice President and Senior Associate Counsel for the NBA G League since August 2015. In this role, Jake has held various leadership positions, including Senior Director for both NBA G League and NBA Asia & India, along with Director and Associate Director roles in the same regions. Prior to joining the NBA, Jake worked as an Associate at DLA Piper and held a Winter Associate position at Baker & McKenzie. Additional experience includes legal research roles at Stutman, Treister & Glatt, the International Center for Law and Religion Studies, and Utah Legal Services. Jake holds a Juris Doctorate in Business Law from Lewis & Clark Law School and a Bachelor's degree in History from Brigham Young University.
