Sam Yang

Sam Yang is a seasoned tax professional with extensive expertise in corporate tax management across various regions, including China, Hong Kong, and Asia. Currently serving as Senior Tax Director at the National Basketball Association (NBA) since May 2016, Sam previously held the position of Tax Director at Nu Skin Enterprises, where leadership of a team of tax professionals was key in managing tax matters for over 60 subsidiaries in the Greater China Region. Prior experiences include roles as Tax Manager at NXP Semiconductors and Bekaert, focusing on corporate tax for China and Asia, and Assistant Tax Manager at KPMG, handling tax for China and Singapore. Early career began as a Tax Accountant at A P Tax and AccountantsCorp, covering Australian tax matters. Education includes a Master’s degree in Accounting from UNSW and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Curtin University, along with a high school diploma from Hangzhou Foreign Language School.
