Ted Leonsis is the founder, chairman, managing partner, and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, where they oversee several professional sports teams, including the NHL's Washington Capitals and the NBA's Washington Wizards. They also co-founded Revolution Growth and hold a leadership role at Proxy Foods. In addition to their prominent positions in sports and investment, Leonsis serves on various boards, including American Express, Groupon, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. They have a history with AOL, where they were pivotal in the company’s growth and innovation before retiring in 2006. Leonsis studied American Studies at Georgetown University.
