Tony Tran

Tony Tran has extensive experience in technology and leadership roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as VP of League Apps & Core Tech Platforms at the National Basketball Association since August 2020, Tony has held previous positions such as AVP in the same division and AVP of Customer Applications. Prior to this, Tony was Vice President of Technology at The Economist from November 2008 to January 2020, where efforts included building and scaling digital teams across multiple locations. Earlier experience includes a managerial role at Deloitte, overseeing database development for global audit systems, and leading enterprise architecture initiatives at Christies. Tony's career began in software development, with roles at Snickelways, e.magination, and The Johns Hopkins University. Tony holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, earned in 1996.
