Rosendo Velez

Rosendo Velez serves as the Director of Security for NBC Universal Owned Television Stations since December 2015, where responsibilities include monitoring the security profile of 30 stations, conducting safety assessments, proposing security upgrades, and coordinating security for productions. Additionally, Velez conducts training in safety and situational awareness and liaises with law enforcement agencies. Concurrently, Rosendo holds the position of Captain at NYPD since January 1986, serving as the Executive Officer for the 24th Precinct and the Commanding Officer of the Transit Bureau Investigations Unit. Educationally, Velez earned a BA in Psychology from Columbia University, an MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College, and completed a certification program at the Columbia University Police Management Institute in 2012.
