Sonny Hwang is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data architecture and engineering. Currently serving as Principal Data Architect at NBCUniversal since February 2013, Sonny leads Snowflake architecture and administration across multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, achieving accomplishments in enterprise data warehouse refactoring and query performance tuning. Previously, from April 2006 to January 2013, Sonny held the position of Vice President, Manager of Data Warehouse Engineering at Morgan Stanley, managing a global team and collaborating with the application development community on best practices in data modeling and performance. Additional experience includes a Vice President role at US Trust and a Database Consultant position at Merrill Lynch. Sonny Hwang holds an Executive Master's in Technology Management from The Wharton School and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
