Dan O'Brien

Dan O'Brien is the Director of Sport Medicine and Research at the National Basketball Players Association. Dan previously worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Long Island University from August 2015 to May 2017, and as President of Duquesne University Students of Athletic Training from January 2014 to May 2015.

Dan O'Brien has a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Duquesne University. Dan also has a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Long Island University. Dan is certified by Noigroup as an Explain Pain Specialist and by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Dan is also certified by S&F: Structure and Function as a Dry Needling and Cupping Therapy Specialist and by the Board of Certification/Accreditation as a Certified Athletic Trainer.

Dan O'Brien reports to Joe Rogowski, Chief Medical Officer. They are on a team with and Asheesh Bedi - Head Orthopaedic Consultant.
